Northtone signs international artist, Jeanne

Melbourne independent record label, Northtone Records, signs Dutch singer- songwriter, Jeanne.

On the 15th of January 2016 Northtone Records signed Jeanne Rouwendaal, a Dutch singer-songwriter from The Netherlands during her visit to Melbourne.


Jeanne has spent the last few months touring The Netherlands with Popronde, a travelling festival, where she played 33 shows in 20 different cities throughout the country. Prior to that Jeanne won the public prize in the acclaimed music competition, De Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2014.

During Jeanne’s time in Australia she will be recording her forthcoming EP, produced by Robert John Sedky and recorded at Sunshine Recorder with Lee Cardan.

“I am really looking forward to working with Northtone Records and producer / composer Robert John Sedky” Jeanne comments, “I felt that Robert and I, and drummer Carlo Parisi and bass player Tom Fraser, had a very strong connection from the start. The entire team is so amazing to work with. Everyone is so passionate, and so kind. We are not only creating music, we are creating friendships.”
